Suggest Remedy For Itchy Bumps In Arms
Hello. On Monday I was working at my house in the back yard, and was pulling plants and cutting down some brush. Last night before I went to bed I noticed a bump on my arm. I noticed it was from poison ivy and wrapped it, in hopes it wouldn t spread. I was both wrong and too late. It s on both hands and arms now, and I have a very slight itching sensation in my lower area. I have been using Caladryl Clear since this morning, but haven t seen much difference. Any advice?

Hi,
You seem to have developed an allergic skin disease due to contact with plants.
You should avoid applying any kind of skin irritants like dettol, spirit over it.
You might need to apply a topical steroid cream over the affected area twice a day for few days.
Take some oral antihistamines along.
See a nearby dermatologist if the condition tends to persist despite this therapy.
You might need a course of oral steroids.
