I used a professional glycolic acid treatment last night and washed it off after 2 minutes. I woke up today with irritation and red bumps all over my cheeks and around my mouth and chin area. its very sore and feels raw. I was wondering if there was anything I could do to reduce and help the irritation and if I should stop using the glycolic acid

The possible diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is irritant contact dermatitis. Avoid glycolic acid application for at least one week.Emolients containing liquid paraffin can help reduce irritation and burning effect. If burning sensation is too much than topical mild steroid cream like fluticasone can be used over the affected area. Consult your dermatologist regarding the above mentioned therapy. Regards
