Suggest Remedy For Insect Bite And Itchiness With Skin Inflammation

I was bien two weeks ago by an unknown insect. The three bites are on my inner side of my upper arm. These itched constantly for several days and the skin all around became inflamed. I used cortisone 10 and other salves and home remedies for itching but nothing helped until about the third day I used Lanocin and this does relieve the itching for a few hours. The bites are still evident and still itch terribly although the Lanocain helps. The bites are still evident two weeks after I was bitten.

Hello dear,
Welcome to healthcaremagic. I have read your query and understood your concern.

If it is confirmed insect bite, in such cases I usually advice my patients to apply a cream containing antibiotic and moderate potency steroid over the lesion. For symptomatic relief, antihistaminics like levocetrizine, fexofenadine can be taken.
Regards.
