Suggest Remedy For Infection And Dryness On The Penis
Hello Doctor, my name is Yogesh Kumar and i am from Delhi (India). From Last 6-7 months i feel some infection in my penies, i am not recognised what kind of this infection. Daily i clean my penies very smoothly, some time i clean my penies twice a day but some kind of white layer not remove properly. And when i open my penies for 5-10 mints in air ,it s become a very dry and that infected skin portion going to remove like a film......i need your suggestion Doctor

Noted the history well and understood the concerns.
The condition is called Balanitis. Balanoposthitis if the prepucial skin is also similarly affected.
I would advise you the following in such a condition:
Clean the area with plain water 2 to 4 times a day and and keep it dry with a pure cotton cloth or a dryer.
Apply liquid Povidone Iodine locally or a Metronidazole cream.
A course of antibiotic and metronidazole orally for 5 to 7 days and a single dose of oral anti-fungal tablet should help you to get a cure if local hygiene fails to cure the problem; you need a valid prescription for this.
Blood Sugar should be checked regularly. If diabetic then get proper treatment from a Diabetologist for best results.
Circumcision may be required if the prepuce is long, covers glans and the condition is recurrent or if you have diabetes. Consult a General Surgeon in such a case.
If you are sexually active , your partner too needs to take the same treatment.
