Good Afternoon sir,
My mother is a diabatic patient till 2002. and now she is suffering with high blood sugar.
with the doctor suggestion we are giving 25 units insulene in the morning before breakfast and 20 points before the dinner at nights and taking some sugar tablets too. plz suggest me what to do.
I am sorry that your mother is diabetic. However, it is not the end of the world. Apart medications that should be taken on regular basis, I advise to follow a healthy: - diet - lifestyle
regimen. Encouraging her to eat foods that won't make her blood sugar to spike and keep exercising (e.g. walking) on daily basis are also helpful.
Keep monitoring her blood sugar, record the results to pass them to her doctor.
The main goal is to keep her blood sugar levels within acceptable range to avoid further complications, especially neuropathy (damages to the nerves).
All the best! Dr.Albana
