Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
current blood pressure is 162/101. Had an epidsode last night of chest (heart area) tightening than lost feeling in left arm (I m left handed). Been trying to get pressure lower as I do not have health insurance. What do you recommend? I have a HORRID headache - bayer has not helped
Welcome to healthcaremagic.com. I am saddened at the issues you have. I would advise you to seek medical help and some assistance, you worry me because you had some neurological signs that could indicate that you are having some blockages and are reacting to the high blood pressure in your brain. 162/101 is not terribly high, but who knows if it actually rises higher than that, you should at least be placed on high blood pressure medications which are more affordable now. I would go to the ER and get a preliminary work up. I hope this answers your question. Good luck.
