Suggest Remedy For Fever In A Child With History Of Febrile Convulsion

sIR, My son(4.5yrs) is having fever for the past 72 hrs in the tune of 100degF and has been taking paracetamol on 6 hrs interval ,sometimes 10-12 hrs.I am Giving paracetamol at 100 degF as I dont want the temperture to rise more as he had febrile convulsion twice in the past.Also,he has a continuos running nose since two months and coughing sometimes.Widal test was done and found O-1:160 And H-1:80.Is this fever a thyphoid fever.His pletlet count in 1.12,Lymphocyte count-56%,wbc is 4000,Haemoglobin is normal,MCH-24.8,MCV-71.8%.KINDLY SUGGEST

I really appreciate your concern, as long as the widal test is concern this is suggestive of Typhoid fever but this need to be correlate with the clinical condition, fever can not be treated with just 100 F one need to wait for some time and watch the graph of body temperature every after two hours this is the diagnostic criteria as long as Typhoid fever is concern, hope this information is helps, take care.
