I just started seeing a new neurologist because my old one wasn t addressing my muscle weakness in my arms, legs, and neck! I also have ehlers danlos syndrome and chiari malformation runs in my family... :/ so I m hoping this new one can figure it out because I m getting worse and its getting harder to get around and take care of my family! General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Droopy eyes occur when there is a problem with the nerve pathway that controls movement of the eyelid muscles. It may present as ptosis, a neurogenic problem. Neurogenic ptosis include myasthenia gravis, third nerve palsy and also affecting the muscles that move the eyes and eyelids. The symptoms of ocular myasthenia gravis include double vision (seeing two images instead of one), trouble focusing, and drooping eyelids.

You are also having muscle weakness. Get clinically examined by a Neurologist, get all nerve conduction tests, blood analysis, repetitive nerve stimulation, ice pack tests & imaging tests done. You will be treated accordingly. Your treating doctor may give you conservative treatment, intravenous therapy or recommend surgery.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
