Suggest Remedy For Extreme Pain Due To Spinal Stenosis And Arthritis In Hands And Neck
Hi, My husband is 79yrs old. Young 79 and has severe Spinal Stenosis and Arthritis in hands and neck. Pain management didnt help. Was given Lodine and nearly killed him with Liver enzymes through the roof. He takes Aleve once in a while. His most complaint is his legs are rubbery and wobbly. Is this alll part of the Stenosis. I don t know how to help him. He s always in pain esp. his hands. He used to run Marathons and was a Phy.Ed. Teacher. Now he s limited to waht he can do. Can you please help me understand if this is the case. Does the Sp. Stenosis cause such weakness in his legs? Thank you so much.
Yes, it can cause it. Conservative measures are to be taken. They are:
1. Surgical 2. Nonsurgical Surgery is recommended if radio-logically indicated. Smoking cessation to be done, if patient is taking it. Acute Rx analgesic [anti-inflammatory under guidance] 3. Physical therapy, acupuncture, [craniosacral therapy- CST] are very helpful.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
