Suggest Remedy For Extreme Fatigue And Pain

When I m fatigued and feel like I need a nap, my pain is not relieved. I ll take my usual pain med and nothing. Then, if I can have my hubs watch the kids I ll take a nap. I ll wake and the pain is gone. It s like if I have pain that won t be relieved by medication I know I need a nap. Is there a reason?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The fatigue and lack of sleep may exacerbate your pain, making it more difficult for the medication to relieve. Sleep can also help reduce inflammation in the body, which may contribute to relieving pain. It is also possible that your body releases certain hormones during sleep that help alleviate pain. I think it may be helpful to discuss this with your doctor or healthcare provider to figure out the best action to manage your pain.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
