Suggest Remedy For Extreme Constipation Post Chemo Infusion

I have extreme constipation after i had a chemo infusion last monday. It feels lie something is obstructing my bowels. I go to the bathroom every 10-15 min. but nothing happens. I had a few hard bowel pieces earlier today. I did everything i was told to do like stool softener, miralex, dulcalex. I even took a suppository last night but nothing seems to help. meanwhile, i feel extremely uncomfortable

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

You have not mentioned reason for chemo infusion....

Here even with dulcolex you are not improving....

So cause has to be searched for....
There might be fibrotic narrowing of enteric portion....
Also chances of bend or adhesions etc....
Obstructive mass or polyp can be there....

So USG abdomen done for further work up.....

If needed and cause not clear it is better to do colonoscopy like investigation.....
