Hi,

Excessive ear wax can cause temporary hearing loss and it wont alter speech development. Please use some wax softening ear drops which will help in clearing the wax. Please get your daughters hearing tested after the wax cleaning. Hearing loss can cause speech difficulties.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vijaykumar, Otolaryngologist / ENT Specialist
