I had an aortic valve replacement 8 days ago. Since then I have had a nagging a cough especially at night. My lungs are clear. My nasal passages seem very irritated with occasional signs of blood in the mucus which is clear. Is there any simple remedies tatt could assist in getting a better nights sleep. Thank you
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of Aortic valve replacement 8 days ago and since then have nagging cough especially at night. There is a also blood in mucus and sometimes the mucus is clear too. Lungs are clear. Nasal passage is very irritated. The most important consideration is recent heart valve replacement which is the more important than anything. Since you must be on blood thinners and other medication may be to control blood pressure related to, you have to consult your operating Surgeon or the Cardiac Specialist to have a proper clinical evaluation and treatment after a proper diagnosis.
