Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My wife is suffering from frequent belching throughout the day. Dr. has advised three months course of Nex Pro RD 40 after examining her through endoscopy. She stopped this medicine for 10 days and problem started again.Should nex pro rd 40 be taken before meals or after? What other remedies are available?
The medicines must have been given for Acid peptic disease and it has to be continued for six weeks.
If I would be doctor of this case, then I would try to treat such case with tablet Omeprazole + Domperidone, it is the combination of two molecules which was very convenient for the patient instead of taking two to three drugs in day.
Above suggested combination can be given once in day for six weeks you could think about this or can talked about this to her doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Akhtarhusain
