Suggest Remedy For Clogging Of Nasal Passages And Burning In Eyes

I have been cleaning my deck with 1/2 outdoor clorox and 1/2 water solution. Obviously, I was outdoors, I wore sunglasses and a bandana over my nose and mouth. This process took about me about 4 hours. The smell was strong and would even make me feel a little sick a couple of times and I would take a break. Now I feel like my nasal passages are clogging up and my eyes feel a bit burny. Should I be concerned? What more could I have done to protect myself?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

The bandana should have provided some protection to the airways and throat but since a reaction still occurred, you may need to try a more secure mask if you have to do this again.

In addition, you may need to dilute the chlorox more than was done on this occasion.

Your current symptoms should resolve in few hours. The use of an oral antihistamine, decongestant should help.

I hope this helps
