Suggest Remedy For Chills, Cough, Fatigue And Headache

I have been ill (fever, muscle aches, chills, cough, extreme exhaustion, fatigue, headache) for 6 days now with no relief. I ve been seen by my nurse practitioner 2 times this week. I was put on Tamiflu for 5 days & then Azithromycin for 5 days with Albuterol inhaler. None of these appear to be improving my condition. Any suggestions?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have chills, cough, fever, fatigue and headache which seems to be due to viral infection/ flu. Need not to worry much. I would suggest you to take acetaminophen, it will reduce fever & headache. You should take proper course of antibiotics for 5 days as it will take 5-7 days for viral fever to lower down. Apply moist cloth on head dipped in cold water, can help to reduce fever & headache. Drink plenty of fluids and have rest properly. Visit general physician once and get it completely examined and start treatment after proper prescription. Get blood tests done to find out exact diagnosis. Avoid oily and spicy food.
