3 weeks ago I noticed a bump on my shin, I do not remember bumping it but I always used to sit with my left leg bent under my bottom (for hours), the bump has a long shape not visible (you can feel it touching it) but it's not discolored. It's on my left shin, below the knee on the front-outer part.Nobody can tell me what it is and I am freaking out as it's not going away.I asked an acupuncturist who just said it's a bruise, and I asked my PCP who first said he didn't know what it was (?) and then he said he might be a varicose vein (which I doubt) or a bruise, but he was pretty sure it didn't involve the bone and it was superficial, I asked to have x-rays and he said they were not necessary. Both suggested to put warm compresses on it.I just want to know for sure what it is. Which doctor can I show it to in order to have an answer? Which specialist treats shin problems? Is it the Orthopedic? More about the bump, it hurts (lightly) when I press on it, the pain is totally bearable.Please let me know.
