Suggest Remedy For Breathing Difficulty

I have a parrafin heater at home. Everytime I put it on now recently I have difficulty breathing I have to do everytjing slowly because I run out of breath. Im not over weight I eat healthy most of the time. This morning while getting up the flight of starts it felt like a mission and I person who regularly excercises. I giving the heater away but I worried about my chest. Should I see a doctor and lastly can this lead to heart failure or asthma?
