Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Effexor is venlafaxine and the drug is a SNRI drug. The drug is a commonly used antidepressant drug in moderate to severe depression. You have developed acute side effects after starting 75 mg doses and anxiety has worsened. If the drug is started with low doses then the risk of such side effects reduces but you have started with 75 mg and this is the reason you have developed the side effects. Please visit your doctor and ask for reevaluation and if possible start with low doses again.

Thanks, Take care
