Suggest Remedy For Blisters Due To Mosquito Bites

Hi, I m currently travelling in Colombia and got bitten badly by what I think was mosquitoes a few days ago. The bites are incredibly itchy still and have turned purple, blistered, spread and are veiny around the edges. I ve been applying various creams and a anti-infection spray to try and relieve them but nothing has helped. Please help! Thanks

Hi.
As per your case history of mosquito bite, my treatment advice is -
1. Wear full sleeve clothes to avoid further such episodes.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
MBBS, DDVL.
