I was in the hospital about two weeks ago for salmonella poisoning. While in there it was very difficult to take deep breaths. Once released I developed a bad cough. I went to my doctor she did and X-ray and everything looked good and that it must be a chemical burn from throwing up. That was last Tuesday. It s still hard to breath in sometimes and I still have the annoying cough. I was prescribed those little yellow gel pills and cough syrup with codeine at night if needed (I try not to take it). I usually sleep well it s just when I m awake I have the cough
