Suggest Remedy For An Infected Pore On The Face

My son has an infected pore on his face about two inches under his eye. It is swollen and he has irritated it by pushing on it to get the infection out. He has 12 Amox Clav 875 mg that he was taking for a serious spider bite. Should he take these again and is there anything else he should do...Ice..heat..cream or ointment?

Hello,

An infected pore can be treated with an antibiotic ointment. The infected site should be kept clean and frequent touching should be avoided else it can lead to repeat infection.

You may consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment and prescription of medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri
