Suggest Remedies For Thrush Causing Extreme Itchiness

i have thrush, and some time in my sleep two nights ago I ve itched and scratched myself in my sleep, so badly I ve torn the skin and bled. Now I m in extreme amounts of pain, it hurts to walk around and sit down and burns so badly when I go to the bathroom! Is there something I can use to stop the pain and speed up the heeling process ??

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You should use an antibiotic and antifungal ointment to treat the skin when thrush and scratch took place. You can find fourderm over the counter in pharmacy. Apply it three times daily. Also wash and dry it well before applying the ointment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
