Suggest Remedies For Tender And Irritated Throat

Before swallowing I probably didn't chew the piece of spiral ham sufficiently and now it feels like it's stuck in the chest area. Thinking it would help, I tried to "throw-up" and then, later, I did; the contents were bloody and yuckey but the area is still tender. Is this serious?
Thank you!

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I really appreciate your concern about the problem you are facing. As a physician, I would like to tell you that blood in vomiting as you have told is a serious concern. The harm might have caused some scarring in your esophagus and you need to see your physician as soon as possible to make sure that the injury is not bleeding continuously. Thanks for trusting and posting your query on this forum.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Abhijeet
