Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe pain in the lower jaw which seems to be due to bruxism, gingival recession, traumatic nerve injury to mandibular nerve and due to TMJ problem like ankylosis.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to maintain hygiene of oral cavity and do regular brushing and flossing. Take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain. You should consult oral surgeon for proper examination. Doctor may also check the occlusion. Doctor prescribe you night guard and recommend physical therapy and stretching exercises. You should eat soft food and apply warm compresses to lower jaw.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
