I have noticed memory challenges in the past few years. I had chemotherapy treatments in 1989 and 1996. Dr. Rynne, I had 3rd stage breast in 1989 and in 1996 3rd stage ovarian. I have times when I have no memory, lasting only moments. Also I often cannot remember what I said 3 minutes later after I said it. I spoke with my building principal today and he said he and the vice principal began noticing this about a year ago. A few years ago I was standing in the lobby of my school and had a complete memory lapse for 10 minutes. I had taken 2x the amount of an anti-depressant and attributed the interruption to the meds. Dementia does not run in my family. Cancer does but not dementia. What type of doctor would I search out for a diagnosis? Additionally I have had about 7 surgeries and need to have at least on carotid artery tumor removed from my neck. Anesthesia also seems to diminish, my memory. Any help/advise you can give me would be appreciated. az
