Hi,
A possible issue is anxiety and this is a common cause of
numbness and
tingling. It can cause numbness in all 4 extremities including the face (tongue also).
Usually, during some periods of severe anxiety, patient's breathing rate may increase (
hyperventilation) which in most of the persons can result in tingling with numbness in face and extremities. So, if it is due to anxiety - It usually will not be persistent at same intensity. (It will intermittently be very severe, when patient is very anxious). In anxiety, it can be accompanied by increased breathing rate, palpitations, nausea,
lightheadedness, fear, anger and lack of confidence.
Sometimes vitamins deficiency can also cause numbness and tingling in arms and legs (but in that case, it is uncommon in face and tongue).
Please do some mental relaxation exercises and 'Yoga'. It will probably help.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
