Suggest Remedies For Nausea In A Diabetic

I have been having bouts of nausea and feeling overheated several times a day for a few wks. I am type II diabetes and on Landis and novalog but have been unable to control my blood sugars during this time. I have been very nauseated for the last 2 days after eating a greasy meal. I have minimal occasional abdominal pain. Is this a reason to go to ER?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

For your symptoms of nausea and occasional abdominal pain, you can take medications containing Pantoprazole and Domperidone on empty stomach in the morning. If nausea persists, you can take only Domperidone as necessary.

I would suggest you to undertake ultrasound scan of abdomen and consult diabetologist for further evaluation and appropriate management.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
