Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that your son's incisor has erupted and it seems to be the portion of gum in that area that is inflamed and painful leading to pain during swallowing..

You should consult a Pedodontist and get evaluated and in case if the gum flap in that area is inflamed he will be advised to take a course of antibiotics and anti-inflammatory painkillers along with cool compresses in that area or cool water gargles can also help..

In case if the pain does not subside and there is excess portion of gum then it can be removed by a small surgical procedure..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
