Suggest Remedies For Discoloration And Pain Around The Knees

Hi, so I am highly involved in athletics, in particular baseball. I catch every game, having about 5 games of 7 innings. My knees have been getting progressively worse, I started noticing they have been constantly purple around my knee, it always hurts to walk, run or even get in my catching position. It has gotten to the put to where my knees can barely uphold my body, they give out a lot.

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Discolouration and pain around the joints may be due to joint effusion or haemarthrosis of the joint or cartilage injury.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Please get it done X-ray of joint and examination.

Take rest from games, use cold and warm compression. If symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
