Suggest Remedies For Discharge At Site Of Incision Post Vasectomy

I had a vasectomy done 9 days ago, one of my two stitches are gone but now it seems like the incision is not healed completely. I have no pain and there is no bleeding. However there is some draining/discharge. I will be calling my doctors office tomorrow to have it checked out. Is there anything other than keeping it clean I can do in the mean time, like using poly sporting or something like that? Or should I just leave it be as is?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.
It seems like there is a wound infection and this is not uncommon. YOu need to keep area dry and clean. SHower it 3 times daily and then cover with sterile gauze. Also, you can apply antibiotic ointment. There is no need to be worried. DOctor will examine this and see if antibiotics are requored or additional stitches and then it should heal properly.
Wish you good health. Kindly regards
