The flushing started occurring around the time I contracted a cold which, subsequently, turned into a sinus infection and bronchitis. In general my immune system has not been doing well since I had my gallbladder removed in late October. Infectious Diseases Specialist 's  Response
Hello!
I have been through your question.
Related your concern you should know that immune responses can be depressed by some external influences including emotional stress, inadequate sleep, overtraining, chemical exposure, common viral or bacterial infections, certain drugs (immunosuppressive), blood transfusions and surgery(as you have). But, immune deficiencies are also attributed to acquired infections or diseases that target the immune system, such as HIV/AIDS, and primary immunodeficiency diseases (genetic abnormalities). What I suggest for you in this moment is to meet an Infectious disease specialist to exclude first an acquired immunodeficiency and to do differential diagnosis taking a detailed history related your situation.During this time you should control your immune system first changing some habitude above mentioned related quality of life(sleep and eat well and no stress), take multivitamins.
I hope my answer help you.
I wish you a quick recovery.
