Suggest Remedies For UTI

GYN had nurse call me today - I have Klebisella (sp) in urine, so UTI. This guy is an oncology surgeon and GYN. I told him I have had an incurable UTI for 9 years. No oral antibiotic kicks it out. Then I have to spend week in hospital on IV gentamicin - then it still returns after 3 weeks. So I have stopped getting culture. He wants me to take Augmenten - which I get very sick from (autoimmune disease, and gastroparesis) I looked at drugs on list I could take - cipro ) get colitis - other are all IV

Hello,

You are suffering from a UTI which is being caused by some resistant strains of bacteria. Klabsella has been isolated from your urine culture and so you should procure the sensitivity report too.

If you will take antibiotics on assumption basis, that will have no impact on UTI (due to resistance), add to drug resistance and there will be side effects of drugs.

Even if the strains are sensitive to injectables, go for it, in the best interest of your health. You can make some domiciliary arrangements.
