Hello, I m a 20 year old female and I have a few questions concerning my normal health. Recently I ve been dealing with waves of depression or severe anxiety that might have been brought on due to a recent traumatic event that put a few things into perspective for me. I ve been talking through my problems and issues as best as I can with my boyfriend. I went and had some blood work done yesterday. My heart has been aching and and racing randomly and when I m around people I tend to just draw a blank on what to say or don t feel like talking at all. I finally got health insurance in mid-February and met with a nurse practitioner. My insurance isn t the greatest and so we are paying everything out of pocket. She recommended seeing a counselor to talk through my issues so I ve left messages with a few that have been recommended by my church. My blood pressure is 120/72. I have 67 beats per minute and take about 12 breaths per minute. I am able to feel the waves of anxiety/depression coming on and some are worse than others. Personally, I think it is brought on from stress from school and friends...My question is, are their any natural remedies or practices that you might recommend to help control these waves I m feeling? Today has been a good day so far, yesterday not so much. I do NOT have suicidal thoughts, I know I am stronger than that and I know I can overcome this, I just honestly am not happy with how my life is currently. Thank you for you time!
