Suggest Methods To Reduce Weight

Hello,
Im 16, and weigh 310 lbs. I want to lose weight for college this Fall. I was watching the MTV series "I Used to Be Fat" and realized that the teens were losing at least .5 to 1 lb per day. I was wondering if losing 1 pound per day for the next 6 months will harm me? I dont believe that one can only lose 1-2 pounds per week. What about the people who also shed pounds on the Biggest Loser? I believe its just the amount of effort you put in...so do you think its possible for me to lose 1 lb per day?

losing 1lbs per day should be under a physician and dietician care.
as your BMI indicates you are obese. sudden change in your diet plan will harm you.
you need a physician advise before you plan for weight loss program.
