Suggest Medicine To Remove Acne Scars On The Face

hello Dr i have a acne prone skin mostly i have acne on my jaw line . currently i m having Minoz ER 45 from last 20 days & it gives me good result . Dr can u plz tell me since how long i need to take this medicine for the permanent solution ? One more thing that now i have a acne scars on my face plz advice me some good scar removing ointment . Thanks.

Hello,

Minoz is an antibiotic that is used for acne and is found to be helpful. if you are noticing results with it then you will need to take it for 3-6 months regularly for better results.
If after finishing this drug you notice that the scars are not well treated the doctor might prescribe you oral retinoids but these need good follow up and blood tests due to many side effects.

You can also ask your doctor if he can prescribe you some ointment with retinoids to be used while you use Minoz as local use of retinoids is generally well tolerated and has less side effects.
