Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi I recently used corn removal plasters on my toes and the corns are gone, but I am now left with some discolouration on my toes. I have a naturally dark complexion, but have been left with pink spots where the corns used to be, and these fade to white when pressed. I was just wondering if there is any way of restoring the colour to my skin and how long this will take? Many Thanks.
The scarring left behind after treatment of corns will take some time to lighten. You can use Mederma ointment for few weeks to allow the scars to lighten and come back to same color as surrounding skin.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
