Suggest Medications For Pain And Numbness In Leg And Ankle

I was in a bad motor scooter accident 10 years ago and tore my leg open requiring 48 staples. I tore my gastronemius and achilles heel. My leg is numb from the calf down and my leg and ankle are always painful even though I do not have feeling to the touch. What can I do to alleviate the pain?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

This may be due to the nerve injury that has happened during the accident. The healing is difficult. For management of pain you can take NSAIDs like Ibuprofen or ketorolac. If not subsided then opioids may help you.

Hope this helps you.
Regards
