Suggest Medications For Cough

My Daughter has cold (running nose) and cough since last 5 days. When i visited doctor they suggested me to givem Toxim & Congestive for 3 days. But Cough is still there. I noticed that yesterday she vomitted and cud see but mucus in it. Let me know if Wikoryl would help reduce this cough

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Here your child could have simple viral or allergic infection...
Get her CBC done to rule out lymphocytosis or eosinophilia respectively.....

The drug you have mentioned is decongestent containing antihistainc plus lead sedation by caffein...
Here your child can have bronchitis or lower respiratory tract bronchiolitis infection...
Symptomatically management done...

If cold climate then room humidifier can be used....
If condition increasing and bacterial infection suspected antibiotic given...

Meanwhile for cough expectorant ambroxol can be prescribed.....

Consult doc with keeping this in mind and auscultation done for respiratory examination....
