Suggest Medications For Cough In Children
My son is 5 years old with a really bad cough. The doctor gave him Hydrocod for his cough at bedtime. If he is coughing during the day and staying home, can I give him a dose during the day? It made him feel much better (however sleepy) last night. Thank you.

Hydrocod causes drowsiness so doctor has prescribed it during night.
However as you are saying that your child will be home during day, so, you can give him a dose during day also.
I would also suggest you to consult your doctor for long term use of the same due to its habit forming properties.
