Suggest Medications For Cold And Flu

Yes, I have flu and cold...went to the doctor and was give promethazine-codeine syrup for my cough...I was only running a temp of 99 degrees F...I am now running a fever of 101...I have Advil will the two drugs play nice...I need to get this temp down.. Hello!

As the viral fever resolves once the virus completes its cycle in human body, therefore as of now you can continue taking supportive treatment for relief from the symptoms..
I would suggest you to take a combination of Acetaminophen and Ibuprofen that will reduce fever soon as well as bodyaches..
You can take decongestants like Pseudoephadrine [sudafed] to reduce congestion caused due to cold..
You can continue taking a combination of promethazine and codeine..
You should do warm saline gargles and also do steam inhalations..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods and sip on plenty of warm water..
Take a soft bland diet and ample of fluids..
Take sufficient rest..
Chew a Vitamin C pellet as it helps in improving immunity and resolves infection faster..
