General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

To postpone the period take tablet norethisterone daily starting 3 days before your expected period and continue to take as long as you wish but no longer than 20 days. After you stop taking the tablets, your period is likely to start after two or three days however, the time scale may be different for every individual.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
