Suggest Medication To Delay Menstruation

Hi, I go on holiday in June when my period is due. To delay my period would it be advisable to take norethisterone to delay my May period (will this also delay my June period?) or just take in June to delay my June period. I ve never taken it before & I m worried it may not agree with me & any reaction will become apparent on holiday. Many thanks

Hi,

I feel instead of postponing period, it's better to prepone it your June period, so as to get it before your holidays start. Please consult your gynecologist with your expected date of periods in June and also your holiday details. This would help her you give you a more personal advise.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale, General & Family Physician
