Suggest Medication To Bring Down Sugar Levels

WITH ONE SINGLE TABLET PRESCRIBED, GLIMISAVEM1 DID NOT BRING DOWN SUGAR LEVELS. DOCTOR ADVISED ME TO ADD ONE MORE EVERY DAY. IT PUSHED MY SUGAR VERY FAST IN 15 DAYS TO 93 FASTING AND I LOST ENERGY TO GET UP FROM MY BED.
i STARTED HALF SUGAR ONCE A DAY WHILE I CONTINUE 2 TABS. AND NOW IT IS 120FASTING.
CAN I DISCONTINUE ONE TAB WHILE TOTALLY REMOVING SUGAR OR ADOPT PRACTICE OF HALF SUGAR WITH TWO TABS

Hello there,
I can understand your concern regarding control of blood sugars. It would have helped to know your age and if you have any other conditions like hypertension or your kidney functions because a blood sugar of 93 in fasting is a normal value and should not make you weak. As a diabetic you need to cut sugars from diet and its better to reduce tablet frequency than take sugars everyday as a remedy for low sugars. But from what you describe, one tablet of Glimisave M1 (which is a combination of 2 medicines) was not able to control your blood sugars. Keeping your blood sugars at fasting less than 100 and after meals around 130-180 is ideal. Low sugars are only when sugars fall to below 70. Still these values depend on your age and other conditions if you have any. So do discuss these things with you diabetologist who can guide you properly after thorough evaluation of the cause of your weakness in the mornings.
Till then stop sugars, include exercise if your heart condition allows and continue the medicines.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
