Hi, welcome to our site. I am Dr Saumya Mittal, MD.

Read your query. That is a very significant question and i appreciate your problem. I will try my best to answer your query

First, I dont think that the rashes are due to eltroxin. lots of people are on Eltroxin and frankly dermal rashes are almost unheard of, as a side effect to Eltroxin.

Besides you have said yourself that the rashes occur 2-3 times. I am assuming you are taking Eltroxin in the regular pattern, one a day on empty stomach. So that again goes in favor that the rashes are due to some other causes.

And finally, the fact that the rashes have started after 6 weeks. Now of course a late reaction can occur theoretically, but I still feel strongly that the medicine is not the cause.

The best possible suggestion I can give you is to avoid the tablet for 2-3 days and note if the reaction is occurring. If the rashes develop after stopping the medicine, you can assume there is another reason to the rashes.
In this case you will need to meet your physician to test you extensively for the cause of your allergy- most likely some new cloth/cosmetic you are using

In case you do turn out to have allergy to thyroid medicine, you can attempt a new brand. the additives are sometimes the cause of allergy too

I hope this helps you. Inform the reports mentioned above/if any other so I can be of help further. Best of luck.

I have given you the answer to the maximum considering the information provided. The results of the tests could further enhance my answer to you.

Please do understand that some details could be extracted from a detailed history and examination.

Please feel free to ask another query. I would be glad to help you. Looking forward to your return query with the details asked so that I can help you further.
