I am just getting over a bout with skin ulcers. I found a picture on this site that matched what I had. They started as sores and after a couple of weeks they turned into skin ulcers. I saw a dermatologist who just covered them with a wound covering (looked like artificial skin) and I wore those for a month and the ulcers gradually healed, leaving a lot of scars. Was that the right treatment. I don t think my doctor knew what she was doing and I was wondering if there was a better treatment in case I get them again. It was a devastating thing, keeping me home for most of the summer.
Hi. do you intend to know if you were treated properly when you had ulcers? Right? Please provide details of diagnosis and treatment given. Moreover, similar looking ulcers might be caused differently and need different treatment approaches. as i said, it all depends on diagnosis made. If you want to educate yourself about your condition (which i feel is a great thing), ask about diagnosis made and then read about it. Dont judge things by comparing pictures. Looks can be deceptive and it might seed doubts in your mind, leading to inadequate adherence to treatment prescribed. I hope you get my point.
