Suggest Medication For Shortness Of Breath

I have an enlarged heart. Johns Hopkins recommended Atacand and Rexana to help with my shortness of breath. I have only 1 functioning kidney. I read there is a net they can put on my heart to help it push the blood so I can breath. Is this something that will help.

Wow, we are both in Maryland. Fundamentally, it depends on why one has shortness of breath. My patient today might have drug abuse, age related increase in high blood pressure, or a stroke that is causing his blood pressure to sky rocket and to produce some (slight) shortness of breath. Each condition can be fixed in about a day and stop the shortness of breath. The emergency room is testing him right now.
If there is kidney FAILURE, then dialysis will be needed. Atacand and Ranexa are generally used in people with heart disease. Improving the circulation of the heart would be the main treatment in this case.
but I cannot say in your particular case wtihout an actual exam and getting some records.
