Endocrinologist 's  Response
Hello,

If non-steroid anti-inflammatory medication is not effective in treating rheumatoid arthritis, Plaquenil or corticosteroids are the second line of treatment.

The clinical examination and the inflammation markers should be taken into consideration to decide about treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mirjeta Guni,
Endocrinologist
