Dear Doctor, I have been taking Ciplactin and Decdan tablet from few years. I use to take 1 ablett of both every day. I have stopped taking the tablets from almost a month now, I feel hungry but I cannot eat as I have no taste in my mouth and my mouth is completely dry. I cannot eat food and feel like vomiting. My body pains a lot. Please suggest me some medicine so that I can come out of this. Thanks

Hello,

I can understand your concern. What you are experiencing are the side effects of the drugs only. Though you have stopped using them for about a month, it does take time to get over the side effects they may cause as they stay in your system for longer time after stopping their use.

For lack of taste in mouth, you can try different spices and strong flavors. Eat in non-metallic dish. Drink small sips of water in between meals to combat nausea. For dry mouth, you can suck on sugarless candies or chewing gums. You can also use Pilocarpine tablets that is available over the counter and their effects last for 4-5 hours. You can repeat it then.

If the effects you are experiencing are too severe, then you should consult the prescribing doctor and discuss other options or medicines.

I hope this information helps you. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you feel better soon.

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
