Suggest Medication For Itching Caused By Stitches

I AM 49, 230 LBS, 5FT8, AND I HAD MY GALLBLADDER REMOVED LAST TUES 9/6/11, LAPROSCOPICALLY, AND FORGOT TO ASK THE DOCTOR IF MY STITCHES WILL DISSOLVE OR WILL NEED TO BE REMOVED? I AM NOT SCHEDULE TO SEE HIM UNTIL NEXT WED, 9/21. JUST A CURIOUS QUESTION, HAVING NO PROBLEMS, OTHER THAN THE INCISIONS ARE ITCHING WHICH I KNOW MEANS THEY ARE HEALING. IS THERE ANY OILMENT OR CREAM I CAN PUT ON THEM TO RELIEVE THE ITCHING WITHOUT INFECTING THE INCISIONS?

HI.
A very good question!
The best way is to apply an equal quantity of medical grade Vaseline and Pure Honey. This may be available as a proprietory ointment. But the best is you make this at home and apply. The itching goes away and the scar is also very nice, fine and may not be visible at a later stage.
As for the stitches: if they are seen- hey have to be removed. If not seen - no worry.
